Aw, come on, X! Even Lynn used the boar in his previous video in combination with his favorite DD WE

But if you are talking a decadent indulgent whatever experience - sure, silvertip beats the boar paws down - any day

    Cheers

What he said. I used a boar bristle brush for 15 yrs before I got my badger.

"You don't need no steenking badger", but once you use one you'll want one.

    You guys are smokin' crack.
Badgers are vicious little animals and carnivores to boot.
The boar would be ham and bacon in no time.
I'm puttin' my money on the Badger.
    Any takers?

Well up until recently I used a boar brush. Let me tell you, it hurt. Could be because I bought a really cheap $5 brush from CVS. But then I got a Vulfix Super Badger brush and my gosh. It's sooo soft, I rubbed it against my face just for kicks! When I used it to shave, it held the much more water, and it held it better than the boar brush.

Umm... xman, I think you might be talking about a pig... Boars are carnivorous as well. And they're very vicious, might I add. At least the wild boars are.

    From "Snatch":
Brick Top: You're always gonna have problems lifting a body in one piece. Apparently the best thing to do is cut up a corpse into six pieces and pile it all together.
Sol: Would someone mind telling me, who are you?
Brick Top: And when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of them, because it's no good leaving it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover, now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a pisshead. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig shit, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig".

I'll give you 3-1 on the boar then.

I like the Proraso Omega brush (boar).
Boar bristes are harder. Badger is softer, holds more water.
I find they make slightly different lathers, as the stiff boar bristles contribute to whipping the lather while a badger's increased moisture does the trick on that front.

I wouldn't be so quick to discount boar's hair, there are just so many crappy ones out there. A broken-in Proraso Omega is compromise in firmness and softness, and I like it as much as any badger hair brush.

It is a matter of taste. I have both and usually prefer the badger but when I want a real wakeup I use the boar.
