The only down-fall a synthetic brush has is it doesn't hold water. The hairs won't absorb water so you will need to add water as you go. Not a big deal, just something to keep in mind.
I too have a Sterling Synthetic brush. Feels like a cotton ball on my face. Very soft!It's just Sharpening, right?

But, Gasman, have you tried a Stirling badger? Their finest badger for $50.00-ish is as good as any of my $200.00 badgers.
A little advice: Don't impede an 80,000 lbs. 18 wheeler tanker carrying hazardous chemicals.

Thanked: 25Check out a Thater 4125 silvertip in sizes 0-4. I have a 4 bulb. It is as fine a brush as you could ever want. Beautiful, hand made in Germany, 30mm knot.
