    Default Shaving soap dispensing medium

All right so I've determined I'd like to build the lather in a bowl and initially I was going to buy a victorian scuttle to hold the soap so it wouldn't stay too wet, and then a moss scuttle to whip up the lather and keep it warm for the subsequent passes. Then I calculated the circumfrance of the moss scuttle and it seemed like it would be too small of a space to whip up lather. In that case I would need to get a bowl to whip up the lather. This just all seemed too repetative. I'd like to hear suggestions on how to keep the soap dry while it's not being used, keep the lather warm, and still have the ability to whip up a lather in a bowl.

You might want to give the "too much equipment" thread for some good ideas ... i use heavy mug and ziplock containers.

I shave before showering, and this routine works well for me. I soak my brush in a coffee mug, with a water level that is just shy of reaching the brush handle. While the brush soaks, I rinse my face continuously with hot water from the tap. My main source for soap storage are the ZipLoc XS Bowls:

I also have a collection of Anchor Hocking one cup pyrex bowls that work well. The soap labels are glued to the lids for identification.

I load the brush with soap, build the lather on my face, and then rest the brush in my Moss Scuttle, which is designed for holding the brush and keeping the lather warm, not for whipping up your lather.
