I think no need to worry. I look at it as a 'reset' to get things more even again.
Things will get evened-out and all will be back to the old normal.
Looking back in history, that is always the outcome.
Now sales/Vat taxes, duties and such are another thing...Once they have their hand in your pocket, that's all there is.

Here is how one tariff that was placed over 50 years ago is still to this day creating inequality... or complications. Once in place and defended, these things are a bear to remove.

Incredibly informative and interesting video, earcutter. No wonder the VW microbuses disappeared. So chicken tariffs are ultimately responsible for trucks being today's most popular "cars." Wow, and the Big 3 automakers reap the added profits of making a far cheaper "car" sold at a premium price.
Moral of the story -- the house wins and the consumer loses. Always.
On a humorous note, love how American chickens are the anti-aphrodisiac.

This is 2018, Tom. Kids these days will eat anything even remotely resembling food. Thus, your statement is up for debate.
