Thanked: 104Cautionary Tale (Kittens are evil)
I found an awesome Ever ready Brush at an antique store. It had an octagonal base in orange with a pretty cream colored top section. I dont know much about brushes, but I was sure it was pretty old. I bought the brush and brought it home, where it was put on the shelf where my projects reside. Early Sunday morning I heard my little kitten playing with something in the living room. It turns out that what she had was that lovely orange and cream brush. The top of it was absolutely destroyed by her tossing it about on the hardwood floor. Broken into pieces beyond repair.

That sucks, B.
I got a cat that likes to jump onto everything. Spends more time on counters, chairs, ect., than the floor.
There's only one place in the house he won't jump up on, anymore. He jumped up on my dresser drawers, ONCE.
HE GOT BIT.!! Left a trail of blood everywhere.Mike

Apart from the mountain of science and simple observation/common sense, I think the best rebuttal I've heard in a long time of flat earth theories is that if the world really was flat, the cats would have knocked everything off by now.
Sorry to hear about the brush, and +1 to your theory. Our guy is a little psychotic ball of destruction. Cute, though...
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Don't feel bad, I had just bought a brand new Thater top of the line brush and left it out on the counter and my Husky got it and had her way with it. Luckily I retrieved it after a big fight and she had only destroyed about a quarter of the business end of the brush. I still use it.

Thanked: 292Recently, we were painting our bathroom. I know it is not ideal to keep strops in the bathroom, but I do anyway. While painting, I took them off the wall and laid them neatly on top of the dresser. A couple of days later , I found the strops on the floor, the work of one of my two cats. When I went to hang them back on the wall, I found some cat scratches on my Tony Miller No. 2 Novotan Horsehide strop. The strop is still usable, but it is no longer in pristine condition. Drats! But as outback says, you can't stay mad at them for long.

Here is the poor destroyed brush. I was really kind of fond of the shape, and looked forward to replacing the knot and putting it back to use.

Okay, my boys would never do that.
Should have gotten a dog.
I'm just yanking your chain. Sometimes they can make you want to kill them no matter which one...but I still think you should have gotten a dogIron by iron is sharpened, And a man sharpens the face of his friend. PR 27:17

Thanked: 104I had the greatest German Shorthair Pointer in the world. I dont have the time to properly raise and train a pup, so my next dog wont come until I retire. GSP take a lot of attention, but I cant imagine why anyone would ever want any other breed.

My nephew has a German shorthair. I've never really been around them very much but they sure are a pretty breed. I love my Rhodesian Ridgeback and the Jack Russell too. I would get another of either one of them. In particular though the Jack Russell is not for everyone. They say that about both of them but you have to be really patient with the JRT. That dog is totally psychotic and won't listen to a thing unless you really know how to work with them. They're really good for rodent control though. They don't even have to be taught ratting. It's just in their nature. Also very entertaining.
