Yes, the shave process is an individual thing.
If i was forced to use one soap, one brush and one razor "no matter the quality" the shave would soon become a boring chore..
A big part of the enjoyment for me is choosing from a very large variety of tools in my arsenal.
I admit that i have spoiled myself with a very large collection of razors, straights, DE's, blades, brushes which are all used.
The choosing of the shave brush is an additional increment of the enjoyment for me. Yes agreed,.... to each his own.......

My new Yaqi synthetic brush arrived this morning, I showered and shaved with a Barbers delight, Ozark Mountain and my new brush.

It lathers like a beast. This after my 4 pass shave was finished.
The pic doesn't show the lather well but I could have got at least another two passes.

I'm getting more of these with brushes, and for what its worth, it felt pretty close to the couple of badgers I have.
I think I'll have to make it my mission to replace the boar brushes i thought were the business till I got this synth.

The large brush was presented to me as the Canadian Yaqi distributor
    Sorry about the sideways photo
Do they sell any of those giant brushes? I saw a video with someone using a giant brush, but I think it was custom.

Yaqi does not list the "Giant" shave brush.
