    Smile My Trio

    Just sharing my happines:

I have been pretty good about brushes. When I got the Plisson, I was thinking that I won't buy another brush for quite some time. While this didn't happen, I have been able to try them and then pass all along. Only one brush net has been added to stay - a solid silver designer handle. The knot on it is, I believe, some unbleached badger: very very soft tips, hand-shaped knot, decadently floppy - and performs great with both soaps and creams.

The most exciting development - Little Cutie got a new Rooney Finest head That brush is really dear to me: love the looks, and performance with Finest is out of this world. The shipping delay was so big that I thought it had been captured by some zealous customs agent. Oh, the anguish... But in the end I guess I got lucky. This is my favorite brush now, what a knock-out!

I am very happy with the handles - horn, ivory, and silver in different styles

    Cheers
    Ivo

Very nice, I'd like to find another brush I like but have not yet. I'm in contact with a member that has made some nice handles out of wood. As soon as I get back to the ranch to cut another block of manzanita I'll send it off for a new brush handle Can't wiat

Words and pictures on how to make twinkles in the eye and colours agree in the dark. Thoughts on mindscaping, moonlighting and daydreams. Have you seen a purple cow? When less can be more than enough. The art of looking sideways. To gaze is to think. Are you left-eyed? Living out loud. Buy junk, sell antiques. The GoldenMean. Standing ideas on their heads. To look is to listen. Insights on the mind's eye. Every status has its symbol. 'Do androids dream of electric sheep?' Why feel blue? Triumphs of imagination such as the person you love is 72.8% water. Do not adjust your mind, there's a fault in reality. Teach yourself ignorance. The belly-button problem.

The Art of Looking Sideways - Alan Fletcher

    Is it any good?

On topic: I didn't know Rooney rebristled brushes, where do you go to get this service? and is that silver handle very heavy? seems like it would be tiring to whip up a lather

Yes, I enjoyed the book, it is stimulating. I still open it occasionally for a quickie here and there. Note that I don't agree with / espouse everything in it - but find it interesting.

A friend got me in contact with Lee Sabini from Rooney. Lee asked for photos first and then agreed - maybe because he liked the handle. I have heard of Rooneys rebristled by Shavemac but I don't think Lee rebristles much

The silver handle is not very heavy. It's thick silver sheet with ornaments, the core is hollow. I think it is in the ballpark of the B&B brush (but cannot compare because I don't have it anymore) - nice heft. "Tiring to whip up lather" - that's funny, thinking about the people over the world who toil for hours and still can't feed their families properly... I haven't felt tired using it but it may be too heavy for someone. I (used to) work out, you know

    Cheers

Silly idea: In the photo, the silver handle almost looks like it has the phases of the moon embossed into it! I assume that's just how the photo is lit, right? I must need a nap...
