    I don't think so. But it seems that anyone who has found his way of building lather will claim that it is superior and constitutes the best solution.
    Some like creams, some prefer soaps. Some like to build lather in a seperate bowl and transfer it to the scuttle, some prefer to face-lather and park the loaded brush in a restricted space in the scuttle so that it touches the walls, some prefer to make their lather in the scuttle itself.
    My personal solution is to start building the lather in the scuttle and finish it on the face (for better preparation of the skin), either with a cream or with a soap. For soaps I have developed special lids. The soap is grated and pressed into the lid, which can then be stored on a fitting rest or in the scuttle.
