    Default Towels?

So far I really don't use a towel that much to pre-treat my beard/face, but I would like to start on a more routine basis.

Do I need to buy a specific type of towel or will cheap big box store towels do?

I bought a twelve pack of towels
from my local Sally's Beauty Supply
store for about $9. They're just
    the right size.

When our oldest was born, we were given a pack of cotton, cloth diapers as a gift because we thought we'd go the cloth route. Our short stay in the hospital after the birth taught us there was no way in the world we were going to do the cloth diaper thing, so we just used them for whatever. I then started using them for shaving and found out they hold a ton of hot water and retain heat well.

For obvious reasons, I don't let them hang on the towel rack next to the shaving supplies, but they do work well for shaving.

    just use a washrag....works fine

Some of Ems shaving gel in a compatible scent to your cream or soap makes a great pre-shave with just a hot washrag.
