    Default Brush sans Handle???

Sorry if this has been asked before. I tried searching and came up with squat.

I was wondering if there is a place that sells just the bristles without the handles. Sort of a "make your own" brush kit? I would just like to try my hand at making a handle out of stainless steel, but would rather buy the bristles from a place that does good work.

Any help would be great. Thanks in advance!

You can try here: http://www.blankity-blanks.com/brushes.htm I've never purchased anything from them and don't know them.

You can also try here: http://www.delong.cc/shaving%20brush/02_A1.html My guess is with this one you'd have to buy more than one.

    Perfect! Thank you!

So they are called "brush HEADS". That should help a lot, and I love both the sites.

Good stuff. I have a brush that needs to be rebristled. What would be the best way to remove the old brush head?

I'd say try Pete Esche at http://northwoodswoodcraft.com
There's a lot of variety between brush heads and he's gone through several suppliers.

I'd imagine whoever does the rebristling may be the best option to remove the old stuff. I know Bernd at shavemac can take care of it. Unless you're putting your own bristles, in which case I have no idea how you'd go about it - perhaps dremmel?
