    Default Deal (?) on Silvertip

I bought this (advertised as) Silvertip brush on eBay for $30 shipped.
It arrived today and looks and feels real nice, especially for $30. It is made by delong www.delong.cc

I'll lather up with it tomorrow.

Seems like a good deal -- I am almost afraid "too good to be true", but having held it in my hands, it seems like a bargain.

The seller was Virtual Village, and it shipped directly from China. The seller lists these constantly....

I've seen this on ebay and my only concern was the density of the brush. Is it floppy? I've had floppy and don't care to repeat that mistake. It is a good looking brush and I look forward to your reviews.

Hi. I have three of them and they are great. Been using one for a month and only lost one (1) wisker on the first day thats all, that's the one in the middle.

You like that little brush support. Made it with a brass rod and a scrap piece of cherry wood (flooring) finish on one side. Came out nice.

They are "Silvertip" and they lather up really good. It's smooth on the face and cover a lot of cheek and neck. You can compare them with 80$ ++ brushes and they will stand their ground.

Don't know if I can put this here but this is the place to get them.

$30.00 for a Silvertip is a great buy, I have 2 C&E BBB's (one travel and one regular) and they cost me over $70.00. I'll definetly look into these brushes.

    Default One use review

Used the brush this morning. Here is the 'review'.

The brush shed about 5 (8 tops) hairs total. I pulled a few out of the lather on my face, nothing too bad, nothing to make me think twice, even if I had paid $80+ retail. (I do not know if this is normal/acceptable for a brand new brush.)

Judging by the water retention, compared to my Pure Badger (Col Conk) the brush is indeed Silvertip. It is night and day compared to the ($30) Col Conk.

Brush is not floppy at all. The brush is pretty dense, so it is not floppy.

A moment ago (8+ hours post use), I wringed the brush with my fingers, and it did not shed any bristles.

All in all, I am quite satisfied with the brush. For $30, I am really satisfied.

Now, we need to see if it holds up over time.

I've been using one for over a year, they are great brushes...
nice and dense, not floppy at all. I need to get a high end brush to compare them to, but they work so well, I just haven't been able to justify spending the money on anything else.

You guys are bad for me. I will see whether this is a step up from my 5$ wilkinson when it arrives.
