    Default Sanatizing Brushes?

I'm still down and out with a bad form of the flu, which is totally kicking my ass. I'm washing down everything I touch, and changing my sheets daily (partly because they keep getting totally soaked with sweat each night). Should I do anything about my brush? I used it once when I was sick, but before I knew I had the flu. I haven't touched it since, but I still worry about it. It's a 5$ boar's hair brush from bed bath and beyond, so I'm happy to try out potentially damaging techniques, as a replacement it's going to destroy my bank.

I'm just about finished recovering from the flu myself. I have no intentions of doing anything special about my shaving brush. If I were paranoid, I might schedule a borax soak (1 tsp of borax to a cup of warm water, soak brush for a few minutes, rinse, wash with baby shampoo, rinse again and dry) but brushes live in a soapy enviroment when they are used.... it's hard to get them any cleaner. Besides, you've just gone through the process of developing resistance to said flu virus so I don't think there is any chance of contracting it again from your brush. I will chuck my toothbrush though, just because.....

Nothing makes my recovery feel better than a great shave with a nice scented cream and my largest shaving brush. On these occasions (recovering from a cold or flu) I'll shave in a steam filled shower using a safety razor. A sudden coughing fit, in a state of undress, whilst wielding a straight could be....

    Hope you feel better soon....
