Default Interest in German scuttle group buy

I was looking at the following site: http://www.schwarzweisskeramik.de/enindex.html
They have some nice scuttles but the shipping from Germany is pretty hefty for an individual order.
I was wondering if there would be enough interest in putting together a group buy...
The vendor does not charge shipping for orders above $150.00. There may be some customs charges and there would be some internal US mailing charges but I still think it would be a pretty good deal. The vendor may even give us an additional discount for a large enough order. Check out the web site and let me know what you think...

I think its a bit odd to have a yes no option for this as those who would vote no are irrelevant as it is. What matters, as I understand group-buys, is how many who wants to join in

I'm not in the market for one of them, merely wanted to share my thoughts on the matter.

Can't recommend 'Oskar' enough. Very good service and communications. I managed to get him to experiment a bit for me and produce this mammoth scuttle with a runny glaze - also got a freestyle mug. Both very well made and fun to use. Highly recommended!

What did the shipping work out at?

I'd be up for this, but I presume there's no point me adding a yes as I'm in the UK...

Ignore me, Makar. Sorry - just discovered it's £9 on their site.

That looks great Stephen. Do you find it works better than a normal generic shaving bowl?

Just got it a couple of weeks ago Graham. I reckon it will be better in winter to keep lather warm - but warm lather is nice at any time. It is a nice design and the bowl works well for lathering. The difference is really that it keeps lather warm and provides a ready dip for more warm water. The warmth does seem to have a postive effect on the lather and feels good on the face throughout the shave. Other than that - it is a bowl, a very nice bowl, with weight behind it. I have a nice bowl my wife made at pottery and I use it a lot holding in a cupped palm - like you would one of the mugs on Angskars site. The scuttle I find just a bit too heavy once filled to do that with so it stays on a stable surface. If you like a very portable lather bowl and are not bothered about trying out warm lather then it's maybe not the first choice. I like having the variety on hand.

    cheers
    Stephen
