    Default Chubby 2 super

I have recently had the chance to trade a strop for a chubby 2 in super. The brush is 8 years old and the guy says it is outstanding. The strop is worth around 140 dollars. Is this brush worth the trade or should I get some cash on the side?

Can anyone give me any insight on the chubby 2?

No experience with the chubby 2, but a used strop worth 140? Is it made out of Osama-bin-laden leather?

If that is a Simpson Chubby 2 in super grade you are getting a pretty good deal. The last time I looked a new one was around $250.

I have a chubby 3 in super and its a very fine brush. probably not so much for creams but for soaps. It has a very dense knot and short hairs so its pretty stiff. It gives you a good facial when you use it. I would expect the 2 to be the same just a little smaller.

    Default Rebranded brush?

I guess the one I am looking at getting is rebranded by Truefit and hill. I have never heard of that but It is supposed to be a Simpson brush with a Truefit and Hill name. Has anyone heard of this?

T&H is a reputable company. They make wonderful shaving creams, aftershaves, and colognes along with other grooming products. Its one of those old Jermyn street barbers. They have other companies make brushes, razors, etc. and rebrand them.

    Hi Gents,

I'm the elderly fellow who is working on the trade with Matt.

The brush in question is marked Truefitt and Hill where the Simpsons brand appears on my other brushes. Then, Chubby2 and super badger! In all respects, it looks and feels like my Chubby3, only a size smaller. When in London, I've seen Trumper's brushes in their high end line that are clearly Simpsons, and these show on their web pages.

Key: I want Matt to be satisfied that this is a Simpsons and I don't blame him. So, any opinions are fine and will not affect my self-worth.

    Old Joel
