    Default New Cocobolo Silvertip

i needed a new brush for a cup that i received a while back. all of my current brushes were to short, and i hate the way they bang against the cup when whipping lather. so........

cocbolo, silvertip, either 22 or 24 mm. cannot remember. thoughts, comments?

to get the idea for size, i shot it with a dovo from classic(thanks JMS), and a vinatge ever ready that cleaned up well and lathers great. (yes it was disinfected prior to use.), as well as my giant mug and a classic old spice mug. i thing everyone knows how small those are. this brush has not been used yet. from the top, it is the brush on the left, the dovo is top right.

still trying to decide to keep it or not. i restored some razors recently with cocobolo scales and may do them as a set in the classifieds.

    I miss my brush!
I am, however, glad to see that you are enjoying it! If you ever decide to rid yourself of her contact me first would you?

Oh! On the cocobolo handle, love the wood but I am not too fond of the shape!

It certainly looks to conform to your mug height requirement. The middle looks a litlle unorthodox with the stepped spindling, but I suspect that helps to keep it off the mug's sides too.

i wanted to do something a little thinner around the midsection to miss the mug.

and for the shapes, helps to get a grip.

i love this wood, as long as i wear my dust mask. this wood dust is worse than asbestos.

I think it looks pretty slick.
