    Default Crock of Soap

hay has anybody ever thought of using one of those small pot pouri crocks for lather? i'm trying to find mine.... i'm thinking it'd keep the lather warm better than a double boiler type setup and not too hot because they are supposed to stay just warm enough to allow the pot pouri smell to flow.

Great idea!!!! Look under atomic scuttle and you shall find. Keeping the lather warm is something that has been keeping straight razor shavers really busy. People have gone very far in the pursuit of such a shaving delicacy. I would like to give you hope but I think that it is going to be hard to come up with new ideas to keep lather warm ;-). And for the good of all of us, please keep trying.

I personally use a GP scuttle and a mug/candle warmer - it keeps it warm enough without drying out the lather or scalding me! (which is a concern with some of the more agressive methods of heating lather.)

I've tried just about everything, and bang for the buck, my $4 candle warmer does the trick and works a treat!
