Thanked: 17New Vestavia Brush from The Shaving Shop
I received a Black Vestavia brush and stand from the http://www.shavingshop.com.
My first impression is WOW!!
They are much nicer than the web sight photo.
John is very easy to do business with. It was shipped very quickly and was very well packed.
I will try to get a full review up soon.

I also received my brush on Friday and gave it a spin the same night, right after I gave it a shampoo. I am very pleased with the brush and with the speedy service and delivery from John.

I have used it and like it!! In fact I like it so much that I am selling all of my other brushes forthwith with the exception of the Edwin Jagger my father gave me!
It has weight and the brush has backbone but in use I find it has a nice soft touch. It also whips up a nice lather from my soaps. I dont use cream so I dont know its performance with cream.
All and all, A very nice brush! Oh! I got the white one which is actually more of a yellowish cream color and the packaging protected the brush quite nicely.

I should add that the only brushes I have used are Vulfix, Edwin Jagger, Dovo, AoS, and Col Conk brushes so there may be a better brush out there but I need not look any further!

Not to derail this thread but I just saw a Vestavia straight razor on eBay so I Googled it. The brushes look great but the razor I don't know but the seller claims it is made of silver steel by a well known US razor maker. The razor might be nice but it isn't me. It looks like it has thick scales too.
This pic didn't come out that well. It says Finest Silver Steel, Made In USA

Those scales look like a "knife maker", not a razor maker. Would have to change those but you never know about the razor till you have it n hand. Tc

Yes Tc, the scales make it look like lumber but as far as the blade goes, some new clothes & it might be a very nice shaver.
