    Default Eating Crow!

Awhile back I posted my experience with ClassicShaving.com with regards to a warranty issue on a Dovo shaving brush that I purchased from them.

Particulars of that thread won't be repeated here, so if you want to get the scoop you will have to go and read it.

I recently recieved an email from the owner of ClassicShaving.com and and am very pleased to announce that they are shipping me a replacement brush at no cost to me.

My faith in this company has been restored and I will deal with them in the future, so should you.

I've had crow and it was delicious.

Tough, but the perfect size to make "chicken fingers" with.
I've also made it with dumplings of the floating variety, and as a substitute for chicken in soup.

OH, glad to hear about the brush !!

No such luck with my problem, which I also stated in Harleys original thread, but I am glad they helped you out!

    Harley,

    That's great news.
And a big for Classic Shaving!

Now this is your call, but I think that you should also post this update in your original thread. It seems only fair to Classic Shaving.

I know you stated in the other thread that there was a recent development, but I had to go visit your user profile yesterday and again today, in order to check your recent posts, for finding this one.

    Best regards,
    Bart.

While a new-bee to wet shaving, I've already been bitten by the bug, and have managed to spend, ahh, invest some $800. into this. I plan to spend a lot more.

On the basis of the information in these threads, I'm prepared to swear that I'll never buy a Dovo product.

I'm glad Classic stepped up in this instance, but it sounds like there are other instances of pretty p!ss poor c/s unresolved.

I'll give a bit more thought before I make a decision to blacklist Classic.

I doubt there would have been any problems if Ray, bless his soul, were still around. Invariably when ever the torch is passed things change. Don't get me wrong, I still like doing business with Classicshaving, but I have noticed a difference.

Theres nothing wrong with Dovo razors, I have 4 of them, from the entry model on up and they are excellent. No need to fear.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

I agree. I have two (one entry level and one premium) and both are excellent! No complaints.

Perhaps it is BECAUSE their razors are so good that they have had insufficient opportunity to develop decent after-sales customer service.

Then again, I say, Nahhhhhh. They somehow came to an opinion that he abused the brush, without seeing it first. Oooops. That kinda gives them away.

Glad they are good razors, but my boycott is based on this example of contemptuous customer service.

    Boycott holds.

Good luck if your razor ever falls apart. I can assure you I'll never have a Dovo fail on me.

    :-D

    Cheers
