Thanked: 23Gold Marke Dachs Brush
I just thought I'd put it out there....
A few months ago I bought a Gold Marke Dachs shaving brush, one of their pure badger jobbies. At first I was very pleased with it, despite it's hair shedding, which I assumed would stop once the loose hairs were free.
However, it never did stop. It averages around three hairs per shave, sometimes only one, sometimes as many as five. Which if you do the math, is considerable hair loss. I never use overly hot water on it, I don't apply a bunch of pressure when I lather, I rinse it completely and shake out the excess water and hang it up to dry.
So, I e-mailed the manufacturer (the store I bought it from is actually a small smoke shop with a couple of Dovos and a couple of brushes, so talking to them about the brushes is a bit of a waste of time) and after a month I hadn't recieved any sort of reply. Mind you, I didn't ask for a refund or exchange, I just asked if they had any suggestions on how to halt or slow the hair loss. So, after a month of no reply, I brought it to their attention again with another e-mail, pointing out that I had e-mailed about it a month prior and recieved no response.
Anyway, long story short, still no response. I have no idea if all of their brushes shed like a long haired cat in June or if I just got a lemon, but I feel confident in saying they don't seem toi care much about customer service...

Thanked: 2I wish I would've seen your post before I bought mine. Although, today I didn't see any hairs fall off during my shave.
