Thanked: 488Sterling Silver Apollo Soap Dish
I was rummaging through a pile of stuff at an antique store. The place isn't organized and I doubt they now what they have but I found a treasure. It's an Apollo Shaving Soap Dish with a hanger for a brush.
I did some checking and it looks to be close to 100 years old from what I found on a website that does reproductions of Apollo Sterling products. They were made in Italy.
I've never seen anything like it and wanted to share it with everyone. It has a few small faded places but in good shape for as old as it is.

Thanked: 278Very nice. Is the bowl part removable? I'm wondering if you can put hot water in the lower part and use it like a scuttle.

Thanked: 488The bowl part does come out which I imagine was made that way to take the cup out to make it easier to use when shaving. It's hollow underneath the bowl.

Thanked: 488BJ,
I'll sure bring it. Sham was looking for a trade razor and found he had a sterling shave cup to!
