Thanked: 3Where to buy? Omega/Shavemac
Hi I was wondering if there was a recommended site to buy Omega brushes?
index
I was going to buy from there but it says the store is closed...
I saw some Shavemacs on SRD that had a similar handle but the only one they have left is a 26mm, I'm interested in 20-22.
Anyone know where I can find one of these, or something with a similar handle?
Thanks

If you visit the shavemac site (Shavemac - Badger Shaving Brushes - Straight Razors - Safety Razors - Shaving Soaps) you can custom order a brush from Bernd. He's excellent to deal with. And you could order a handle very similar to that Omega in whatever quality of hair you like, in the knot size and loft you prefer. Good luck.

EDIT: I just noticed the Omegas you want are for sale at www.fendrihan.com...Last edited by persco; 06-08-2009 at 11:50 PM.

www.shoeboxshaving.com has taken over almost all of the Omega line that was sold at Barbiera Italiana, so you should be able to get them there.

Thanked: 3That's the place I was originally going to order from and I sent an e-mail and it said that the e-mail address didn't exist...then I checked the home page and saw this. Would be easier if that was open since the other places seem to be out of the country
"The Store is temporarily closed. Other pressing engagements force me to temporarily close the Barbieria Italiana webstore. This will be a temporary shut-down and we hope to re-open for business in the near future. Thanks!"

Thanked: 3Yeah and the prices were at least 30% cheaper.
I just purchased a Shavemac 429, although not the retro line I was looking for, but $55 I decided to grab it.
Time to order a strop, some creams from TGQ and get my razor honed (which I also just received, Otto Deutsch Hans ) and I'm ready to go.

BI is closed for good, the inventory has been taken over by Shoebox Shaveshop...there was a post on the BI messageboard a while ago, I guess Giovanni hasn't updated his site since then.
I just found Omega bushes on Rasage Poulin, as well. Not only that, but he's got some nice looking Edwin Jagger boars...
And of course I just promised my wife to cut down on my spending for the summer!
