Default Bowl Latherers...what do you travel with?

I've thought that a small, light, heat conductive bowl would be good to travel with. I love bowl lathering and at home use a scuttle. Currently, I travel with a soap stick, add some Proraso to the brush and face lather. I miss a warm second pass that I get with a scuttle. What do you do...or suggest?

    Thanks all.

i usually face lather and do not kno whow big your brush is...but...

What if you took 2 of the disposable coffee cups. Put hot water 1/4 up in first one, set empty second one inside of first cup. THen used that as a brush scuttle?

If your travels take you to one of those fancy hotels,,, you know the ones with an in room coffee maker, and real (not paper or foam) coffee cups. You could put the empty coffee cup on the cofee maker burner to keep it warm/hot, then use it to keep you brush/lather warm. You may have to monitor so it does not get too hot.

    third or fourth picture down.

i put all my soap in those things, they seal up well for travel and are the perfect size. also, they are cheap enough to be disposable

I have a leather travel bag that holds my scuttle, cream razor, brush, AS, toothbrush etc. Picked it up at the local luggage shop. Works great for everything but the strop. I took all the stuff I wanted to carry with me to make sure I got the right size.

I think that you may want to use an insulator rather than a heat conductor. In my experience, ceramic works best but styrofoam (polystyrene) may work provided that you are not too rough.

    Al raz.

I lather in a give away coffee mug that I picked up at a convention years ago. I pack this along with the rest of my shaving stuff.

I use whatever glass or mug provided in the hotel room. Absent that, I either face lather or just lather up in the palm of my left hand. Works well, so long as I'm using a safety razor. Haven't traveled with a straight yet.

I use a big coffee/soup mug when I'm at home - found it in the dishes where I work, noone claimed it and it would hve just gone under the servery where all the other non-kitchen cups go, so I swiped it. Keeps it good and warm, and since it was free, I'm not too concerned if I lose/break it, so it travels with me. Pretty easy to find a replacement for too - I've seen them in several stores.

face lather or lather in the palm of my hand....either works well...face lathering is less messy. I save the bowl for home.
