I agree, there is no cure. I have a few high end brushes, and I couldn't imagine getting along withs just 1 POS brush as if it were no big deal. Get a good brush, and it will bring you to a whole new level!!

Your lather is counting on you. None of your soap or cream has been living up to it's full potential

    You can do it Red!

That's EXACTLY when these kinds of ADs crop up!

You're content with your collection of carefully selected razors...and then you start thinking about other ways to improve your shave, or shave experience....

Hmmm, perhaps a rose scented shave soap? Or maybe try a soap with a tallow base........

"These razors I have shave pretty well, but maybe I should get a "X" hone to try and get it really smmoth and scary sharp...."

It can be as simple as being beguiled by a pretty blue handle on a new brush, and the next thing you know, the credit card is in your hand!

There is no combatting it, the only treatment I have found is to try and at least sell off some stuff, to free up some cash to go buy some more stuff!

I just bought a Rooney after I SPECIFICALLY told myself I wasn't buying anything else until AT LEAST the middle of August.

    I am such an idiot.

That was my intention with this shaving stuff: buy a bunch, spend almost too much money, then whittle away the stuff I don't like as much. 3 razors, 2 brushes, 1 strop, and a handful of hones and soaps. For real this time... I think I'm ok...

Just last night I discovered the joy that is MWF... might have to find a new bowl of that somewhere.... Or those face lather scuttles? Those look neat!

It is an interesting shape and color, not for me, but still interesting. I confess, I am already on my way to BAD... I'm sick, but I recognize it at least

I prefer more traditional syling, but I could see how it would be attractive. If you want it go for it! I might check the size first though. It's not listed and you don't want to pay $75 for a teeny tiny travel sized brush.

Seraphim hit it on the head!! that's my problem with razors! I want to get a custom at some point, but don't feel I have tried enough razors to know what I want. I needed a frameback to try so had to get one. Now I need a big wedge, because I sold mine and realize now I only had one wedge.

Now I want a different brush. and damnit if I can't use up my t&h 1805 fast enough, lasts forever and I can't bring myself to get more shaving creams when I still have half a tub. I do want to get some more aftershaves though, the lime ones sound great.

and thank heavens I haven't gotten into strops! I love leather, I worry about that bug biting me.

Although im quite new to wt shaving i find this thread very amusing. Ive been at it for about a month now, i have 4 razors already...a barber hone on the way...a selection of soaps and creams (some as much as 25 bucks) and a strop.

Whats ironic is the fact that i decided to start straight shaving because of all the MONEY i was spending on replacement blades for my mach 3. Well....now my MONEY is going elsewhere hah. Oh well though, i love the learning process im going through and cant wait until im more versed in this artform.
