    Default breaking it in

going to the post office to pick up my tweezerman badger brush and kent shaving soap. i know at first the badger brushes give off a stench. i was wondering what would be a good way to get rid of it faster? or should i just use it anyway and wait for the smell to go away.

    thanks

I love the smell of badger in the morning...smells like...wetshaving.

You can try shampooing it or making practice lather with a strong smelling soap (which Kent is most certainly NOT--it just smells like goodness and love and peace...), but you're best off just using it. Learn to love the stank!

You can use some shampoo and give it a couple of good washes, It helps kill the smell a bit before you use it. but there is nothing wrong with just going ahead and using it for shaving immediately. The smell doesn't effect how well the brush works. Just how close you may want the brush to your face

    tried it out.
i thought it was going to be worse
i can barely smell anything. there is some, but faint.
no need to wash it or anything.
