Thanked: 20Dishes and Brushes
For the past few days I've been reading different posts on the perfect set-up. I've come to the conclusion that badger is king and that tastes vary in handle materials as much as the lines do between SS and CS. At any rate, I would like to pole the folks here at SRP on their taste.
As some of you know, I am a hobby turner and have fallen for the straight razor world. So, with no further ado:
1: What is your favorite brush / bowl shape
2: What is your favorite material for either
3: What do you prefer, light, dark or a combination of both
Thank you all for helping. I've turned a few bowls and brush handles and have some what of an idea but the collective experience contained within this forum far out weighs anything.
Respectfully,
Mike

I like exotic materials and silvertip badger. Although the Body Shop boar knot is a nice knot.
As for the bowl I have a custom made bowl from my kids that gives me the best lather around.
I have no preference on color. If the knot is good and the aesthetic pleasing, it is a winner.
