    Default The best Ebony shaving brush

    There are a number of companies that offer ebony shaving brushes. I'd like to get one to complement my ebony razor. I'm a bit of a newb, but I figure I want to upgrade the clunky brush I got with my DE set and I figure may as well make a once and life-time purchase instead of doing something half-assed. I use soap, not cream.

    Contenders:

    Plisson:

    Ebony Wood - Pure European White - Size 12

    Vintage*Blades*LLC*::...

    Shavemac:

    Shaving Brush 236

    Shavemac - Shavemac Rasierpinsel Nr: 236 Rasierpinsel 236 236

    Anyone know any other ebony brushes? The guy at tamwoodworks doesn't seem to be making them anymore. It's too bad, because his price was about half of Shavemac and Plisson, plus its nice to have something custom and hand-made.

    I'd recommend going to with the HMW two band if you are wanting a once in a life-time purchase

    I recognize the possibility that I may be slightly prejudice but this is my favorite ebony brush: http://straightrazorpalace.com/brush...rst-brush.html

    After clicking on zoom at the shavemac site I received an Avast warning: Malware was found.

    I like the Plisson.

    +1 There's just something about Plissons that make them very appealing to me
