    Default Brush Recomendation

Looking to try a new brush just for fun, but want it to be money well spent. Right now I have a tweezerman that I got for free, and it's the only one I've ever used. I don't want to spend more than like $30, and performance is all that matters to me, I don't care what it looks like.

Can someone steer me in the right direction for a new brush experience in that price range?

In that price range, I'd say your best bet is a nice boar brush (Omega or Semogue 1305 or 2000). Good luck in your search

There's also a Semogue badger brush at about 25 dollars, in vintage scent.

I've never heard good things about badger brushes in the lower price range like this. Have you had a good experience with this particular brush, or have you heard positive reviews? Thanks

Sorry, I couldn't tell what brush he was referencing. Is it a boar or badger brush? From what I was reading it seemed like an Omega Boar, is that right? If so, which one specifically. Thanks

This is the brush you might want to look into. It maybe small but it's true performer when it comes to lathering. If you want to know more hit up JimR because he's the one who inspired me to check it out.

Just like with any brush I pre-soak it 10 minutes before loading bristle and working the lather. Good God mate it's a lather monster! Pair that with Tabac and you just might find yourself captivated in lathering your face over and over and over again. I used the brush 4x now and yielded marvelous results. It feels nice and smooth on your face too! Not "scritchy" as they say. The handle is made of jade acrylic and it definately exudes class and prestige

I like it so much I just had to pick up another. Gary's customer service is top notch! You won't regret it
It's on far right next to HJM brush:

    In midst of working lather:

Ninja edit - i do have to caution you do, there's a funky scent that will be emitted from the boar brush. After a few uses it'll be gone. 3 is about right.

For $22 OP how can you go wrong?

I have an Edwin Jagger pure badger brush I got last month for $25. In my opinion its a great performer, particularly if you are like me and think finer grades are too floppy.

I see you got one, but the Semogue 1305 had my vote.
