Brush Porn - My brush collection
CarrieM and I were just testing out her shave soap and I discovered that I had more than a couple of brushes and thought some of you might enjoy some porn.
I couldn't fit them all into the light box at one time so please forgive the bulkiness of this thread.
Pic1: Barber Shop Boar/Badger made in W. Germany
Pic2: ErskineA200 and EverReady 500PBT both Pure Badger
Pic3: Montclair 6001 in Pure Bristle and an unmarked brush that looks like Boar also
Pic4: One only marked Rubber set and Erskine 6000 Pure Baddger
Pic5: Shavemac Silvertip and Vulfix Pure Badger
Pic6: Strong Set Boar - NY
Pic7: Vestavia Silvertip and Crabtree and Evelyn Super Badger
The last two are the brush and Jr's/CarrieM's DE's and the test samples of CarrieM's shave creams and shave soaps. I'm quickly running out of places to store all of the 'stuff'.
Hope you enjoy/“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)

Thanked: 132Very nice collection Joe!
Do you have a favorite? I've learned, that the most expensive brush, doesnt always become the most used or most favored...
Thanks,
Mac

Even though my "personal" brush is the C&E super badger, I find myself reaching for the Vulfix pure badger most often. Joe's fav is the Shavemac, although he uses them all. Like with the razors. they all have their own personality

CarrieM is correct that my fav is the Shavemac, but inly on some days. Each brush does it's thing very well. Some are better at face lathering others in a bowel or scuttle. Some are better w/ soaps and others w/ creams. The firmness is different between them as is their size. I love the choices and the diversity of the lot. I;ve had the Vulfix and Shavemac the longest so I guess I'm partial to them, but all are good brushes.

Thanked: 235A good brush collection is a necessity for any straight razor user. These two brushes are in the classifieds waiting to be added to your collection. They are a made rite brush and a Rubber set brush.

Nice collection Joe. You can't have too many brushes.
