    Smile Driftwood

While rummaging through my stash of wood, I came across some driftwood I use to make walking sticks out of years ago. So I thought what a great wood for a shaving brush. Something that has floated around in the lake and is already water logged I wanted to keep this as natural looking as possible, so the handle is not turned completely concentric. I wanted to leave some natural look to the driiftwood on the brush handle. For the base, I cut out a nice piece with an imbedded lake rock in it. So this set definately has the old time look to it. Complete with an oil finish, cracks, voids & 22mm Black Badger knot Disclaimer....This is Pre Ban driftwood, driftwood can no longer be taken from lakes in Arizona, but can be used at the lake for firewood. Thanks for looking

Oh that's cool! Darn, I went to the Dominican Republic this summer and I wish I had gotten some petrified wood pieces to make a handle out of. I might need to book another trip....

I'm a little surprised with myself, I find that brush beautiful and it's not exactly my usual style.

    Yikes!

Maybe I'm showing my age but that sounds nuts. The concept of not being allowed to pick up driftwood from public lands is as alien to me as --- well, not being allowed to skip pebbles on a lake.

Are you allowed to "wish upon a star"?

    Yikes again!
