Thanks for the tip! That's what I did my last shave, but it seemed to take a lot of soap compared to what I use on the badger, and that one lasts for 4 passes if need be? But, perhaps it's just because the brush is new, we'll see, lovely feeling for massaging the face though

I nearly gave up on my first boar, an omega, until about the second week of use when it decided to start doing its job properly.

Thanked: 143To repeat what was already said, just for emphasis... Boar brushes need to be broken in.
I gave up on my first boar brush (Omega Pro 49) after a few uses but kept hearing that they needed a break-in period. After a month or so I decided to give it another try -- a few more uses and it was working great.
Now breaking in a Semogue 620. I know my Rooneys (1/1 and 3/1) will still be my favorites but I sometimes like a little more variety.Last edited by TexasBob; 11-18-2009 at 11:06 AM.

I am sure you will really like the 1305. I have three Semogue boars, 1305, 1470 & 620 I took about 10 shaves each (3passes p/shave ) to start breaking in. It is worth the wait. I hear alot of good things about Omega's too.

I like the Semogue and Omega boars as well.
