Default What you know about this one?

Has anyone tried one of these brush sets from Target?

Silver Plated 4 Piece Shave Set : Target

If the brush is any good, the set might be worth it even if you don't use the razor...that wouldn't be the point of this website.

I'm not familiar with that set. I'd be skeptical on the brush quality just looking at it. If you really have your eye on the set for the sake of the brush, I can never say enough about the unadorned but well made Tweezerman badger brush made under license of Henckels. They run about $15. I've been using mine as my exclusive brush for about a year and a half and it sheds a single hair maybe once every other month if that. I was actually thinking of buying several more just to keep them on hand for years to come.

I realized that it was probably a cheapie, but the Tweezerman brush gets good feedback so I thought this might be similar just including the stand and soap dish.

The mock tortoise shell set looks pretty cool imho.
And if the brush turns out to be a failure, you can always repack it with a knot from the Golden Nib. It's tempting to get one for my brother for Christmas...
