Thanked: 137I just went onto Leon's site to price the brushes (have been working out my budget for shaving stuff for the next couple of months) and noticed that I've put the wrong model number in the poll! Instead of 750 and 750HD, it should read 730 and 730HD. Don't know how I managed that!
I also took a closer look at the specs on there - the only difference between the 2 is the handle - the 2040 has a large smooth handle, while the 730 has a smaller handle with dimples for grip. Based on that, I think I'll be getting me the 730HD, but I could be influenced by the poll if the 2040 has a massive voter turnout.

IMHO, the 2040 is just starting to get to be known, seen and used, while the 730 has a vintage handle and it's a brush well known to all.
I love my 2040 stuffed with super dense silvertip knot - what a beast!
As for the horn question. That was the first limited edition I did a year ago. 30 brushes were made with genuine buffalo horn stuffed with dense silvertip hair, very nice.

Thanked: 137In your expert opinion then, Leon, which of the two handles is better/do you prefer?

Semogue Poll
Gentlemen,
I debated between the Semogue 2040 and the 730. Since I have small hands, I thought I would be more comfortable with the 730HD, which has a smaller handle. I ordered it from Leon. Also, the 730 is less expensive. I am looking forward to receiving the brush.
Regards,
Obie

Thanked: 0I know it is not one of your selections but I really love my 730 from Shaving Essentials! It is fabulous for creams and soaps. I dont anticipate buying another brush but if I ever do Ill buy another 730.
