Thanked: 0shavemac brush
ive got the one from the group buy 2 years back, noticed this morning when twisting it in the soap that the brush is spinning in the metal retainer that attaches to the handle, is there a way to fix that or just live with it. the hair isnt falling out, but the whole knot spins with little effort

It can definitely be fixed. I wouldn't live with that. It depends whether its held in place by friction of epoxied in. I would contact shavemac and talk to them. I would bet they'll fix it for free.

If this is the same brush, here's what the guts look like
I know that Bernd offered to fix this one, but I believe he just epoxied it back in himself.

Thanked: 0used marine epoxy, i think it should stand up to soaking the brush with the scuttle now.

Hi syslight,
You have many choices but the one I use for brushes is "Locktite Marine Epoxy 2 hour set". I never had a knot come loose (knock on wood).

Heh, in my family it was supposed to get the attention of the "good" spirits so they could intercede with the "bad" ones on our behalf. I assumed that it dated back to when our ancestors were wandering around Europe rubbing blue mud on their bellies and whacking on trees with clubs. OTOH, it's part of Jewish tradition to so it probably predates the Druids by a good bit but no, I don't know the official explanation.
