Nomad pretty much hit this one on the head. Get one to pamper yourself, and have him try it. Play it by ear from there.

Those Men-U premier brushes are really good, I must have had mine for about 4 or 5 months now and it hasn't shed a single hair (touch wood), an excellent quality product.
