the bad news. it stinks! i heard that it would so i was expecting a smell, but it is actually kind of strong. will the smell go away in time, or am i doomed to have a dead badger in the bathroom?

thanks to all who reply and good hunting!

I remember when I bought my first badger ... I couldn't wash it enough to get the smell out of it. Of course, the smell did not leave the brush entirely and I decided to use the brush.

Nothing like smelling like proraso and wet dog/old sock to impress the ladies, let me tell ya.

The smell does goes away with usage... but the soap scents will not be enough to mask the funk.

Mine took a few weeks to be fully stink free.
