    Default Shaving brush blog

I've just finished a blog about shaving brushes including comments about my collection of over 40 brushes. I hope someone finds it of interest - it was a lot of fun deciding which brushes to get and working my way through them. Please add comments to the blog if you wish.

Nice, Fido. Thanks a lot for sharing. But where are the Thäter brushes? index.html - H.L. Thäter Dachs-Rasierpinsel Made in Germany - no brush comparison is complete without Thäter brushes, trust me

Looks like I'll have to get brush no 42! But where do I get it? I'm off to find out.

Clearly Thater can manage without targeting the UK. Their website does not make it easy for someone limited to the English language. There is a limited English translation but it doesn't seem to extend to brush descriptions and ordering. There don't seem to be any UK retailers who carry their brushes.

I've just received my first Thater brush which I will be including in my blog:

    http://badger-shavingbrush.com/resources/4125-00-10.jpg

This particular brush is described as Finest Badger. It has a dense very soft head with a knot of 22mm and loft of 48mm so it has great backbone. A very small handle (42mm) so it's not a lot of brush for around £80/$120 delivered. Once I have used and it for a while I'll add a review on my blog.

Thanks for mentioning this - it prompted me at long last to do some more research.
