Thread: Hair Loss?

So, I recently picked up a Stephen's woodworking Silvertip (Brush #1) From SRD. It's a fantastic brush that just oooozes craftsmanship. I love it...

However, I've never had a good silvertip, so I don't know the answer to this: How much hair loss from a silvertip badger is a bad sign? I've only used it twice now... It didn't lose a single hair the first time, but this second time, it's shed at least 20 hairs... It's a fairly dense knot, so I don't know if that's normal, but I wanted to make sure that 20 -at still shedding a little when I rub it against my palm- isn't too much...

What do you guys say?

After a few days of use, if it is still shedding that much, Send it back. After a few days an occasional hair or two is no big deal, but if a bunch keep falling out, it could be the knot.
