Where to buy boar replacement knots?
I bought an old Rubberset handle on eBay and I wanted to replace the worn bristle with a new boar knot.
I checked Golden Nib, but it doesn't look like they have too many choices in boar.
Does anyone know where to get a new boar knot for this cool old brush? Thanks!

you can buy an Omega boar that is the right size (not expensive and i like them) and sacrifice it... the knot pops out with a little help. It's been done before with good results.

Really?! That wouldn't have occurred to me, but if the knot pops right out, I guess it would work. How do you get the knot out of the handle without destroying it?

I think the only way to get a knot out of a handle to use it in a different handle, is to destroy the brush, so the knot can be taken out without any damage to the knot. TGN offers a few different boar knots, the standard is pretty big with 24 mm, the UK knots are smaller, but I don't know their size of-hand.

Rudy, other than taking apart another brush, is there anyplace to buy a nice boar replacement knot? I'm enjoying a boar brush these days, but I can't find a new knot for it anywhere. Thanks!

The Golden Nib
They should be able to cover you.
My guess is that is about a 20mm
