New brush - for me anyway !
As the thread title says i've just bought a new brush to replace my old, and not that nice, man-made bristle brush. Being financially challenged i couldn't afford most of the ones i saw advertised just about everywhere so i decided to take a chance on one from our good friends in China !
So i'd seen one advertised in good 'ol ebay for the princely sum of £8.98.
Surely it cant be any good for that compared to the £50 plus prices you see advertised just about everywhere you look.
Well what can i say it came today, delivery took 10 days, and im quietly pleased with my buy so far. I have yet to shave using but I still took it upstairs to see how it lathered up. I also took someone's advice, to buy better shaving soap, and have ordered some Mitchell's wool fat soap so i'm going to wait for that to arrive before i have my shave.
So upstairs i went warmed up the soap and after a quick soaking the brush literally sprang to life and in seconds had made the best, cheep, lather i'd ever hadSo far so good i say ! It feels very nice to touch and holds plenty of soap for that great lather i just know it will help make come the Mitchell's delivery day.
For a touch less that £9 i cant complain really. I just hope it carries on like this and lasts as long as my old one did

Good score, glad the brush is working for you..!
I have MWF as well, and I really like it. Its a great soap, pretty easy to lather IME and gives great glide and cushion to the shave.

Cheers Stu i thought it might just fall apart after one use being so cheep but its still looking ok to me.
I have a razor coming back from honing soon so that gives me two good edges to play with when the soap gets here
