Big badger, eh? Well, I never read glowing recommendations for the Kent BLK12, so I'll step out and say it's my favorite brush. I have a Kent H12 and BK4 as well, and they are all I use.

No, I sincerely don't find the BLK12 too large or unwieldy. No, I don't think they are floppy. Yes, I do think they are great soap brushes, Mitchell's Wool Fat is all I use. And I like they way that they lather and feel on my skin more than any other brush. I started out a Simpsons PJ2 in Super fan three years ago, but liked my little Kent BK4 in Best so much that I just started going bigger with it because I wanted more of the same, and have been very happy. The BK4 is still my primary brush for quick shaves, BLK12 when I have more time.

The BLK12 has a 64 mm loft, and a 32 mm knot size, and is Silvertip badger. The overall height is 122 mm. The handle shape is poetry in the hand. It generates enough high quality lather with one good soap charge to clean shave a chimpanzee. The H12 is slightly smaller and scrubbier/firmer, and has the prettiest faux horn I've seen. Both are comparative bargains direct from Kent's web site. And every Kent comes in the nicest brush case I've ever seen.
