LOL!!! Sorry Terry I completely mis-read your post the first time. I know exactly what you are talking about, and yes they are with the sandwich bags in our market as well. I will take a look this week.

Thanked: 0I have a wood bowl too, it looks great, but what a mess if you use it to lather. for travel its best to use a small tube of cream like Trumps violet
and use the hotel ice bucket for mixing

I acquired this very same bowl about a month or so ago. It is PERFECT for lathering. Very thick pewter, holds heat like nobody's business, I even had about half a bottle of scotch out of it with one of my best friends a few weeks ago. Couldn't resist.

JL,
This might be a dumb idea, but for travelling don't camping stores sell travel bowls? I think they're nylon with plastic inside, but at least they fold flat. I don't have any idea how good they'd be for working up a lather, though.

When driving I've been using an old coffee cup with a flat bottom and flair on the top. It isn't glass but one of those hardened plastic types. Unfortunately I broke it after dumping my suitcase while tripping. I landed on the cup. Fortunately I had my shoes on .
I haven't had to worry about flying yet.
