Thread: The Thäter Theater

I gave my new Thäter 4292 23mm a try both last night and tonight. I definitely agree about it not being hungry for suds. Its a nice medium size and loft. The knot has an incredibly soft feel on the face without losing all of its backbone.
It performed well lathering some Calypso Bomb in a Moss scuttle last night. However tonight, it face lathered some Tabac like a champ. I wasn't a big fan of face lathering....but in the name of putting a new brush through its paces I gave it a whirl. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it this time.
I also give this brush a big thumbs up.Last edited by Blue; 04-28-2010 at 11:57 PM.

Thanked: 74Getting back on track:
@ShavedZombie
If you are interested in the 4125 "Chubby" Series of Thater Brushes. I would recommend a 24mm "Chubby II" 4125/1 Thater brush. I recall you mentioned that you have large hands in a previous post. I own the 4125/0 22mm brush and have, at best, average hands. I find that brush comfortable, but wouldn't mind a larger handle. If you have larger hands, I think a 24mm and up brush may fit you better. YMMVLast edited by sicboater; 05-17-2010 at 02:39 AM.

I have the Chubby 3 and it's highly recommended at 26mm. If SRD doesn't stock it or can't order for you get it from Germany. The different scent will ship and they have a complete inventory though shipping is expensive and can be long in coming and if you don't read German navigating the site to order can be a tad difficult.

Thanked: 3When people say these brushes are soft... do you mean floppy? How do these compare to Rooney and Simpsons of the same knot size?
