Default Ya like my Dubl Duck neck brush?

Sooooo, I was at an antique mall (don't ask) and a dubl duck brush caught my eye. I thought the bristles looked rather long and synthetic or perhaps horse hair but there it was for 7 bucks. Thought I'd give it a go. I thought it would be neat to have something Dubl Duck since the ever elusive razors are either too expensive or sniped. On the way home it hit me......I bet it is a barber's ear and neck brush. Do you concur? At least it will be neat to set it in my razor area or sweep up various things.

Very nice! Good catch, and yes, if I'd seen it - I'd have bought it too!

The brushes to clean hair off customers after haircuts were flat as I recall. They also used brushes to apply talc with. I think yours is just a normal shaving brush.

You think this brush could be used for lather? I know it is not a very good pic but what do you think the bristles are made of?

I am no expert, but the bristles could be boars hair. If you really didn't like the brush hair, you could contact a custom brush maker that is on the forums and have them remove the knot and replace it with something you may like more. That's just my thoughts. That is a very cool looking brush handle.

I can remember such brushes being used on neck and ears in the UK. About twice as big as a shaving brush.
