    Default About Time.

Well my Thater from Germany finally arrived today. It took just about a month. I gave it a bath in Borax and have never seen so much garbage come out of a new brush like that. Maybe Volcanic Ash-har har.

Its drying now. I'll post some pics and comments tomorrow.

Just some quick photos after cleaning and compared to my old Simpson chubby 3 and B&B Kent 2008 brush. The differences between a two band and regular silvertip are legion. Its probably not fair to compare it to the Simpson since it's a two band and over $100 more. It's almost exactly like the B&B by physical characteristics and performance but obviously larger. The fill is about equal to the Simpson.

It has plenty of backbone, not floppy at all and is nicer than most regular silvertips I've seen. Fit and finish is perfect as is performance. Overall well worth the cost. If you buy one make sure you wash it initially very thoroughly. After some use I'll do a review.

In the last photo the chubby two band is on the left and the kent is on the right. The knot on the kent is actually smaller than it looks in that photo.

That's a good looking brush. Hope it settles in well. If the German chaps rate them, I'm sure it'll continue to perform!

Nice! I really like the handle on that brush as well, very different to the ones you usually see!

    Gentlemen:

My two Thaters, a 22 mm. chubby and a 24 mm., both with black squared off handles, continue to soar in performance. I could not be happier with them.

    Regards,
    Obie

That brush is a real beauty. Congratulations.

I'm certain that your new Thater will not disappoint.
