    You can use gorilla glue, but if you do you must figure out some way to get some clamping pressure holding the knot down firmly in the hole. Gorilla glue (and other poly glues) will expand significantly, and it will push your knot out if you don't have pressure on it.

    I use marine epoxy, but pretty much any epoxy should do.

    ok, ive got another question. Ive made the handle for my brush and it looks pretty good so far. now for the glue. I have Gorilla Glue but im not sure how to hold the knot down to avoid movement. Any hints? i dont want to smash the knot

    I don't know about gorilla glue. But epoxy is thick enough to hold the knot in place while it is setting up (like syrup, and it gets thicker fast).

    I always get the biggest knot that will fit in the handle. They fit snugly and hold themselves.
