Thanked: 45Omega Boar Fan Considering a Thater...
I am a big fan of the Omega 31064. However, I have seen many posts praising the Thater brushes.
I would like to hear from any Omega 31064 fans (or Omega boar fans in general) who've tried an Thater. What do you think?

Thanked: 530I'm a big fan of boars (Omega and Semogue) but also a big Badger proponent (TGN, Stephen's Wood Working, Omega, Simpson, etc) and I must say that the Thaters are, by and far, my favorite badgers, and I know that the vast majority of members with a Thater would agree that it is their new favorite...
If you're on the fence about them, get one, believe me, they are that good.

Thanked: 1The Thater brushes that I've come across have been particularly... soft, but extremely dense. Running your hand through it feels almost magical Definitely a different feeling from what I usually see with boar brushes though, so I don't know how much you'd like the softness.

Thanked: 45Well, at Shaved Zombie's insistence, I ordered one. It arrived yesterday. It seems great. It's a 23 mm. In another thread (Thater Theater) I ran through the other badgers I'd tried and sold. The Thater seems preferable to them all., But that's after just one day. We'll see how it goes.
BTW, I ordered some D.R. Harris Lavender from SRD, so as to save on the shipping. Tried that first time yesterday as well. Great lather.
