    Default New Brush

    Hi Group,

Brushes are not my AD, but I saw a Kent BK8 on e-bay and followed it to the last few seconds and won it for about $80.00. Not sure if I paid too much for it, but the retail on it is around $280.00, which I would never pay for a brush.

So I want to see what all you BAD people are talking about, and what you think about the BK8.

    Cheers.
    David

The elusive Fido (an infrequent poster here, and author of a rather comprehensive brush blog) rates the BK8 very highly indeed, and I always defer to him when it comes to matters bristly. I have the smaller and floppier BK4 which I like a lot, but apparently the BK8 knocks spots off it, so it looks like you're going to be pleased with your new acquisition.

Here's Fido's comments, and I'd urge you to have a look at the whole blog: it's a cautionary tale about brush acquisition disorder.

    Arrowhead,

Thanks for the blog and the warning. To tell you the truth, I didn't think it was possible to spend more money than I do on razors, but it looks like BAD could seriously break the bank.

    Thanks again,
    David

Retail $280 for that would be a very bad deal indeed. I think you got a good deal though. For the "retail" price you could get a 2 band easily.

Kent's are good brushes so you should have an enjoyable experience coming up.

Thanks for the feedback. Was $80 Ok?
