    Default Diminishing Returns

So when you buy a brush what percentage of what you pay for a brush do you think goes to the handle and the business end and the workmanship.

Also, is there a point where you hit a certain dollar amount and the overall quality really doesn't increase by all that much. I'm leaving out really exotic handles like Ivory and Sterling or Gold etc.

Having seen the prices of knots @ Golden Nib but not having a ton of brushes ,only 3 customs, I'd guess for high end brushes 20/80 ratio (knot/handle + brand name). For lower end brushes probably 50/50?

I understand your point exactly. After a certain dollar amount it comes down to extra eye candy and 'bling'. I try to use that approach when buying anything these days. I may even try to make my own brush soon too, I do not own a lathe though sadly.
