    Default Custom Brush Makers?

Anyone have a list or even just know of some guys who make custom brushes (websites to check out)? I'm looking for something with a 22-24mm knot, low loft (35-40mm-ish?), high density, stiff badger knot with a handle that is not wood (just preference). If you know of a production brush that fits this description I'd like to hear about it too! Thanks!

Hmm . . . maybe you're looking for something like this?! Just put this one together recently and thought you'd like to see what a shorter loft brush might look like. FWIW, Rudy is the best custom brush maker I know of, and he can make just about anything on his lathe.

Alex: Thater brushes are non-wood handles, and come in a lot of different knot sizes... I'm not sure about the loft though. Also, they are FANTASTIC brushes. I'd highly recommend them over probably ANY other brush on the market.

Alex, one thing you could do is contact Anthony Turchetta at thegoldennib.com and see if he'd do a custom for you. Tony is a lathe ninja, and has the added benefit of being a badger supplier. He could not only fit your brush to specs, but hand pick the right knot for you.

I don't know what it would take to get him to do it, but I'd consider it.

Well, I will say that Rudy Vey will bend over backwards to make what you want. I have 2 handles from Rudy that were my design and He did a great job. I am very happy.

I will also say that most of my brushes have Tony's ( The Golden Nib ) knot's in them and again I am very happy.

Both of these gentleman communicate well and have great customer service.

Thanks everyone- I think this is what I might do. Someone else pointed me to his site and his options look great. Rudy looks good too.

You might want to check with Cannonfodder here on SRP too.

    His work is very nice!
