Thread: Scuttles with lids

So i got this monster of a scuttle from Roberts Ceramic Feats Of Clay,its the one that holds over 4 cups of water and has a spout you can put a rubber plug in ( like the g5 ),and it comes with a LID.So a light bulb went on in my head last week, after filling the scuttle with hot water,took my shower,refilled the scuttle with new hot water,then whipped up some lather,and after i was done making lather i put my brush in the scuttle and put the Lid on it . I then stropped my razor and grabbed the brush out of the scuttle and put it on my face AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH the hottest,warmest,bestus,shaving cream yet,so all you scuttles without a lid,you dont know what your missing!!!!!And its only 35.00

i also have a scuttle from Robert Becker (i got the large, not monster or w/e u called it) and the lid is in fact wonderful, i keep it on between passes and it keeps that lather nice and hot. It is wonderfull

I have been thinking about a lid for my shaving mug because I was thinking about trying some mitchells wool fat and read some where that is does not like to be dried out so a lid would prevent this from happening.

Warm lather is a good thing though.
